Safeguarding
At Lympne we have rigorous processes and procedures in place which are designed to keep your child safe. These procedures encompass the best quality safeguarding practice in line with the current Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
We listen carefully to our pupils and take what they tell us seriously. All school staff are trained in Child Protection and children know they can talk to any adult in school if they are worried about something. Staff are trained to look out for signs of all types of abuse including: domestic, neglect, physical, sexual, emotional, online, child sexual exploitation, FGM, bullying and cyberbullying, child trafficking, grooming and radicalisation amongst others. They are legally required to report these to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
As a school we regularly work with children, families and outside agencies to ensure that the children in our school are happy, safe and ready to learn.
