Section 48 Inspection - SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools)
A Section 48 Inspection (SIAMS) is named after the relevant section it appears within the 2005 Education Act. All Church of England schools are subject to what is called a Section 48 Inspection by an inspector appointed by their own diocese. The Section 48 takes a detailed look at the Christian, and specifically Anglican or Methodist, nature of the school.
The areas the inspection focuses on are:
- The school’s Christian character.
- The impact of worship on the school community.
- The effectiveness of Religious Education.
- The effectiveness of the leadership and management of the school.
We are pleased to be able to report that our recent Section 48 Inspection was rated as ‘Outstanding’.
