At Lympne Primary School pupils attend Collective Worship each day in the school hall.
The worship is led primarily by the staff and Stephen McCaulay (Clergy from St Stephen’s Church).
From time to time other Christian leaders are invited into school to lead the worship alongside a member of staff.
The school follows the Canterbury Diocesan framework for Collective Worship which sets out a clear plan which usually covers a variety of topics from the life of times of Jesus, to key events in the church year and themes such as Hope. Governors and school leaders regularly monitor worship to ensure that it is in line with the framework and that it retains its Anglican slant.
The worship usually involves lighting of the candle, prayer, singing, stories/ messages from the Bible and a great deal of interaction.
